Jerry reminds us that we are spreading the aroma of Christ to others. To believers we are the smell of life and the unbelievers the smell of death.

Sexual Immorality, Church Discipline, and the Cross | 1 Corinthians 5-6

Questions from this passage: How should the church handle those who live in unrepentant sin and are members? Is church membership even Biblical? Isn't excommunication always unloving? Didn't Jesus tell us not to judge? Why is sex outside of marriage forbidden?

Moses the Failure | Exodus 2:11-25

Here we see that Moses, as gifted and educated as he was, was unable to rescue God's people in his own strength. He needed years of discipline and training by God in the obscurity of the Midianite wilderness before he was humble enough to truly be used for God's glory.

Alec Motyer writes, "Even a cursory glance reveals that this passage is a story of failure and of a chronic loss of self-belief. It is all the more striking when we see it against the background of what we learn about Moses himself. He had so much 'going for him.'"

Jerry, Greg, and Fred did a great job helping us navigate a difficult passage with lots of challenging parts.

Mark, Scott and Tyler helped walk us through this passage where Paul uses humbling questions, holy sarcasm, and fatherly pleading in order to wake the Corinthians up to their pride and invite them to gospel humility.
