We started Exodus on Sunday! Moses writes of Israel that "the more they were oppressed, the more they multiplied" (Exodus 1:12a). The same is true today.

The Living Cornerstone and God's Chosen People | 1 Peter 2:1-12

Jerry, Fred, Greg, and Scott did a great job leading us! Here Peter shows us that we are to see that Jesus was rejected by men but chosen by God. The same is true for God's people in this world: rejected by the world but God's "chosen race" (v. 9).

The Wisdom of Men vs. The Power of God | 1 Corinthians 2

Jerry, Scott, Mark, and Tyler helped walk us through all of 1 Corinthians 2. The main theme is that we cannot come to the knowledge of God by human wisdom and eloquence but through a display of the Spirit's power.

Joseph & Judah: You Can Change | Genesis 37-50

In the story of Joseph it is easy to miss how central Judah is to the story. Judah begins as a complete mess. He suggests Joseph be sold into slavery and is sexually out of control (see 37-38). However, the Messiah is promised to be the Lion of the tribe of Judah (see 49:8-10). How could this be? Come witness the transforming grace of God in the life of Judah and his brothers!
