Some Christians have been far too preoccupied with the Antichrist in church history. However, we do not want to be guilty of the opposite error of ignoring this individual altogether. The Apostle John warns us of "the spirit of the antichrist, which you heard was coming and now is in the world already" (1 John 4:3).
